According to Carolym Myss, the seven chakras represent the colors of the rainbow, as well as vehicles of personal empowerment, that help us maintain health, and connect us to the divine. Rainbow colors and rainbow myths are present in many different cultures, including our very own culture. In western culture, the two signs are the rainbow appearing as a sign to Noah, and the Hopi rainbow warrior. Reverend Bruyere tells the story of the warrior, who discovered meaning in the rainbow of color that he saw around everything. Sound raised to a higher vibration is also color, which possibly could be music. According to Hindu beliefs, everything that is created in the universe is made of sound. Each chakra has a "seed sound", which are the symbolic representations of the energy pattern of each chakra while holding its essence, also referred to as bija mantras. When people properly preform these mantras, the individual resonates with the particular chakra. People use crystal bowls or tuning forks to aid those wishing to resonate with these wheels of light. This is important because nobody really knows where and when the seven chakras were created. I appreciate the fact that the little things in life have been created by a larger source.
