Energy Calculator's Carbon Footprint
After taking the Carbon Footprint test on the BP Energy Calculator, I was surprised that I use 25,667 Kilowatts of power per year, but most of the questions asked me how much I use on planes, trains, and taxis. I am only a college student, so I do not go on business trips, or take a train in a subway on a daily basis. I thought that the test was going to ask me questions about electronic devices, like televisions, blue ray players, DVD Players, DVD Recorders, and VCRs; not the kind of questions like business travel, taxi services, and long haul flights. The only kind of flights that I have been on, in recent years, are the short ones to Deadhorse for two weeks of work, and the ones coming back for two weeks of break. Somehow, many people leave the lights on in their homes, therefore wasting a ton of energy, but there are many different types of energy that can be found in many different places.
